- A prebiotic ingredient derived from an eco-extraction of a rare type of bacterium from the volcanic hot spring region of Auvergne (France). The Bacillus ferment contains a special type of lipid called Iso C15 fatty acid, only found in bacteria, which contains the property to balance skin’s microbiota and maintain the integrity of your epidermal barrier.

- This ingredient also makes the skin looks younger, thanks to its enzymatic exfoliant property combined with oat oil and jojoba oil that contains anti-fungal properties to relief skin irritation and reduce inflammation. 

Barosma Betulina/aka Buchu leaf**: 
- A type of plant native to the rugged mountain of South Africa, that is high in diosmin (a type of flavonoid - antioxidant) which helps regulate sebum, refines pores, and suppress acne-induced skin condition. 

2 HMW hyaluronic acid:  
- Sodium hyaluronate: contains 1800 kDs molecule which works as a film forming property and draws water in the air to your skin, while reducing trans-epidermal water loss. 

- Sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer: a type of hyaluronic acid often used as a dermal filler; contains >3,000 kDs molecule which helps filling wrinkles and boost skin hydration. This ingredient also holds the active ingredients in your pores, allowing for continuous release of actives into your skin. 

Ceramide complex:
We use 5 types of plant-based ceramide (Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Ceramide EOS, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide AP, and ceramide precursor/aka phytosphingosine and sphingosine) to help smoothen & hydrate your skin. Ceramides are lipids (fats) that play an essential role in maintaining and structuring the skin barrier, as well as protect the skin against environmental aggressors and pollution by filling in the cracks between skin cells. Ceramides help keep your skin looking younger, protects the integrity of your skin health by preventing moisture loss and restoring protective barrier. 

Behenic Acid and Cholesterol:
Ceramide, when formulated with cholesterol and fatty acids, helps create a water-impermeable barrier that prevents excessive water loss, which helps restore firmness and skin’s natural moisturizer factor.

Ceramide complex:
We formulate this luxurious but fast absorption cream with 5 types of plant-based ceramide, which are Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Ceramide EOS, Ceramide EOP, and Ceramide AP) to help smoothen & hydrate your skin. When ceramides are formulated with ceramide precursor (phytosphingosine and sphingosine) it also helps to stimulate the production of natural ceramide on your skin.

It works to stimulate collagen production, increase cells turnover, and help reduce signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. Contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, Backuchiol is also an excellent option for irritated, acne-prone skin.

Chicory roots:
Chicory roots is a plant that can withstand extreme minus freezing temperatures, and are survivors of winter through spring. High in flavonoids, polyphenols, this antioxidant plant helps rejuvenates and protects your skin from environmental and oxidative stress. Aside containing the ability to boost the skin's collagen and improve skin barrier function, chicory roots also contains anti-inflammation property to help reduce inflammation and redness by minimizing the skin response towards external stimuli and keeps the skin calm, which makes this ingredient excellent for acne prone skin.

Vegan squalane (olive-oil):
Contains a great source of antioxidant to protect skin from free-radicals, squalane is an emollient that helps lock moisture into your skin and reduce skin dryness. Also suitable for acne-prone skin.

Macadamia oil:
Contains a balanced of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, the oil of macadamia nut is near identical to our sebum, making it an ideal facial oil even for the most sensitive skin. Also high in flavonoids, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, macadamia oil is an excellent ingredient to help keep your skin hydrated without clogging pores.

We drew our inspiration from the harsh and cold weather of winter, where dry air and low humidity tends to draw moisture away from our skin, leading to issues like cracking, itchiness, and skin chapping. We discovered a perennial plant like Cichorium Intybus (chicory) that can survive the winter through to spring, and its root contains many great skin benefits. So we designed our luxurious face cream to revive your dry, deflated, and dull skin, by packing it with supercharged plant-based ingredients such as bakuchiol, ceramide complex, and macadamia nut oil, to help heals the cracks between your skin cells, reviving your skin through the harshest weather and any weather.

Red algae extract (Carrageenan/Irish Moss):
An emulsifier and a moisturizer, rich in protein, vitamins-A, E & K, and omega-3 fatty acids. Hydrates skin and helps skin to retain moisture. 

Balloon vine: 
Also known as Cardiospermum Halicacabum, it is a plant with balloon-like fruits that grows in the wild of tropical/sub-tropical climate, rich in phytosterols which is great in harmonizing skin dryness.

Black currant seed oil: 
Rich in Vitamin C, polyphenol phytochemicals, and extremely high in lenoleic fatty acids, this oil helps skin to retain water and promotes hydration.

Tamanu seed oil:
Rich in fatty acids and antioxidants. Helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and promote other benefits, such as wound healing abilities, reduced hyper-pigmentation, and anti-bacteria & anti-inflammatory properties.

Sunflower seed oil: 
A non-comedogenic oil, this oil acts as an emollient and contains moisturizing factor with a great source of vitamin-E. Also rich in unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic & oleic acid), and phytosterols.

Grape seed oil: 
Rich in beta carotene, polyphenols, and vitamins E, C, & D. Helps to improve the appearance of skin softness and retain moisture.

Allantoin:
A nitrogen-rich molecule which is an extract from the comfrey plant. Allantoin acts as a moisturizing agent and also acts as an exfoliant to help shed dead skin cells.

Panthenol (vitamin-B5):
Helps attract and retain moisture. Softens your skin and helps keep your skin dewy.

Betaine: 
A type of amino-acid naturally derived from sugar beet that acts as mild surfactant as well as a moisturizer.

We drew our inspiration from the deep ocean where plants exposed to stressed and light deficiency lives and thrives. So we decided to formulate our face wash with red algae extract (Carrageenan/Irish Moss), which has the property of film-forming when interact with your skin proteins. We’ve added betaine as mild surfactant, and tamanu seed oil from Polynesia, black currant oil, sunflower seed oil, and panthenol (vitamin-B5), to create a gentle dewy texture that cleans and hydrates your skin without stripping your skin barrier's natural moisture balance.

Betaine (from sugar beets):
Inspired by the dry desert, which contains high saline soil, we use betaine derived from sugar beets as it is found to contain high-tolerance to salinity stress environment. Betaine (or trimethylglycine) is a type of amino acid molecule that can function as both surfactant and humectant. Betaine is none sensitizing or irritating to the skin, and is a great alternative to SLS/SLES (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/ and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate), which are the harsher surfactant found in most soap and foaming products (that strip your skin of natural moisture balance). A long-term build-up of SLS/SLES can lead to skin irritation (comedogenic) and can cause your skin to become vulnerable to developing acne. Derived as a by-product of sugar beets' molasse, betaine is a sustainable, non-toxic ingredient (biocompatible to your skin long-term), and also contains anti-inflammatory properties when formulated with cocamidopropyl betaine.

Sodium PCA (Sodium Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid):
Sodium PCA is a type of amino acid that is found in our skin's natural moisturizing factor. It functions as a humectant that helps keep skin supple by drawing moisture in the air to the outer layer of the skin. Sodium PCA is also suitable for people with sensitive skin, whose skin barrier is compromised. Aside from that, we add Sodium PCA to help plump up your skin and to correct your skin texture.

Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil:
Sandalwood oil is derived from the aromatic wood of Genus Santalum tree. Rich in antioxidant, it helps improves skin elasticity, reduces dryness, and generate skin cells turnover. It also contains anti-acne and anti-inflammatory properties that heals wounds, acne, and rashes. The active compound alpha-santalol in sandalwood oil helps even out skin complexion and skin pigmentation. Its deep, woody scent contains a sedative effect that helps calms mind and body. Our sandalwood oil uses the method of steam distillation, which is the best method to preserve the natural benefits of the plant.

Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil:
Bergamot oil (cold-pressed, Furocoumarin-free & Bergapten-free) is derived from the citrus fruit of bergamot orange that helps balance oil production on skin. High in antibacterial and astringent properties, it helps unclog pores without disturbing the lipid barrier, treat blemishes and acne. The scent of bergamot helps calm stress and tension that works as natural anti-depressant.

Pogostemon Cablin Oil:
Patchouli oil is derived from the aromatic patchouli plant that is rich in sterols, flavonoids, and various phytochemicals. It helps reduce the appearance of wrinkle, blemishes, and regenerate and renew skin for glowing complexion. Also contains soothing and moisturizing properties. Our patchouli oil are steam-distilled to preserve its natural benefits. 

Vitamin-E (tocopherol):
Vitamin-E is a type of antioxidant that prevents oxidative damage to skin cells by helping to remove free radicals. Vitamin-E is a great source of moisturizer that can help soften your skin and keep your skin hydrated with its long-lasting moisture retention properties.

And indeed, our many amazing ideas were discovered during the shower.

As a clean, progressive skincare inspired by extreme environments, it began when we were experimenting with the formula with our very first product to replace the harsher surfactant (SLS and SLEs) and we discovered that there are halophile (salt-loving) plants, which thrive in high salinity soil. In order for these plants to cope with the salinity stress, they secrete a compound called glyco-betaine to survive in a harsh environment. With this discovery, we were able to formulate using plant-based betaine (from sugar beets) as a milder surfactant, and created a body wash with an innovative dewy texture that is non-stripping and conditioning to the skin.
